• This is the portion of TriCare that covers ABA Therapy <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  EFMP \u2013 Exceptional Family Member Program<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  • If your Sponsor is active duty you must enroll in EFMP to qualify for ECHO coverage. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    ECHO \u2013 Extended Health Care Option <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
    • All Active Duty Family Members who want their ABA Therapy Covered by TriCare must be enrolled in the ECHO program. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      RBT \u2013 Registered Behavior Technician
      \n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
      • Registered with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Has completed 40 hours of online training<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Has completed a Competency Assessment one on one with a BCBA<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Has passed a comprehensive exam administered in person by the BACB<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        BCBA \u2013 Board Certified Behavior Analyst<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

        • Has either a Master\u2019s or Doctorate in a Psychology field<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Has completed graduate coursework in behavior analysis<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Has passed the Behavior Analyst Certification Board exam <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Respite Care – Short term care that provides temporary relief to caregivers. This may be covered for you through TriCare if you qualify. Tricare.mil\/respite covers the qualifications and who to apply to get respite care. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

          IEP \u2013 Individualized Education Plan<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

          • This plan is created at public schools with parents, the school board, the child\u2019s teacher and any other therapists involved in the child\u2019s life.
